Claire Foley
Hypnotherapist, Energy Psychologist, NLP and Trauma Practitioner

It is my passion and hope to provide a safe, caring and healing space in which all ages are welcome to spend time, releasing held negative energies and beliefs, stored in the body, leading to poor health  and low mental and emotional states. Getting to the root cause of problems, anxieties and worries, I work in a gentle, calm and client-focussed way. I use NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), hypnosis, trauma-informed techniques, alongside practices informed by music, art and play therapy. My specialism in children and families, alongside my own lived experience as an educator, and parent of two children/teens, gives me a unique perspective, in supporting parents, caregivers, teaching staff, and our most important future assets: our children, and our own inner children!!

I have spent most of my life working in the education sector in one form or another. I was a Primary school teacher for nearly 20 years, including some time out for having my own two children. I have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, from Bath Spa University, and later I taught there, as a lecturer and tutor on the Education degree course. I have also tutored children of primary and secondary school ages, in after-school support clubs. I am a trained Forest School Leader and was fortunate enough to visit the Danish Forest Kindergartens during my Master's Degree, confirming my love of nature as a healer and educator. I am a qualified Trauma-Informed Schools mental health practitioner, and this training literally turned around not only my own teaching practice, but my whole outlook on life: every behaviour is communication! More recently, I worked with the NHS (Cornwall Partnership Trust) as an Educational Mental Health practitioner, working in primary schools with children on a referral basis.

My experiences both in the workplace, and life in general have led me to this place of compassion and concern for our young people, as they navigate today’s world. The global Covid pandemic brought a rush of ‘survival’ instincts to the fore, and working in Early Years classes throughout this time, showed me that children as young as four have been very much affected by this trauma, and it is now seen in their daily interactions; there is an increase in trauma held in the body, showing up in the form of speech and language development delays, anxiety, depression, insomnia and behavioural and social difficulties. Sadly, the global pandemic is now one of mental health and emotional wellbeing needs.

Furthermore, as a teacher and educator for so many years, I have witnessed and experienced burn-out and high levels of anxiety that these roles can contribute and cause. I was there myself: a burn-out teacher at 42. During my teaching career, I had suffered intestinal diseases, migraines and sickness bugs, developed chronic fatigue syndrome, been increasingly at the mercy of dreadful panic attacks and anxiety.

Equally, the role of parent and caregiver is one without any rulebook, a world which is full of well-meaning advice, but one which can be incredibly lonely, especially if you are caring for a child or young person who is suffering from mental health issues, traumas, stress or grief. I have two teens of my own, and we have all lived through the loss of their grandparents, relationship break-ups, COVID, friendship breakdowns and the storms of life in general.  I am a fully trained facilitator of SPACE (Supporting Parents and Children Emotionally) sessions.

Dr Johanneke Kodde
Body Mind Soul Doctor, Holistic Doctor

I have been a doctor for over 20 years and a GP more than 15. I have always been fascinated by people’s stories and personal experiences in life and how they relate to the symptoms they present with. After 15 years as a partner in the same practice, I now work as a portfolio GP. I was a trainer for other GPs for over 10 years and I am still a mentor and supervisor. I have a coaching qualification and have always had a special interest in mental health, women’s health and chronic conditions like CFS/ME and fibromyalgia. I worked in a private menopause clinic for a year.

In the last 3 years I have gone through a lot of soul searching, triggered by the aftermath of the pandemic and one of my children becoming very unwell with severe tics and anxiety. I realised I was using my brain as the driver/decision maker and my body as a practical vehicle, mostly ignoring the innate wisdom, instincts and intuition that my body has always had. Human Design was an amazing tool, which helped me understand myself and my family much more deeply. It also helped us understand how different we all are and what our natural preferred ways of behaving are. I was told by various people that I also had strong psychic abilities, which was completely new to me. Sure enough, with the help of a very thorough course, I am now able to tap into this by reading Akashic Records, with amazing results for my clients. All of my knowledge, skills and experience are combined in my work as Body Mind Soul Doctor.

I feel very blessed to live surrounded by the beauty of Cornwall. I adore being in the sea swimming, on the river rowing or walking through woods or on the coast path. I feel much more in tune with and guided by nature these days, by the seasons, the moon and the wisdom of the natural world, that we are all part of. I meditate regularly and have explored yoga, breath work, drumming, shamanic journeying and other ceremonies, which I come back to at various times. I also facilitate a monthly women’s circle.

Pippa Harrison
Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming Therapy, Energy Psychology

I am passionate about hypnotherapy and neurolinguistic programming therapy and their ability to tackle a problem at its very core, in a safe, non-judgmental space.

Whether I am helping a child with anxiety or a couple who have hit a relationship brick wall, there is always a belief at the root of the problem and beliefs can be changed simply using these techniques.

One of the beautiful things about using this approach to therapy is that, for most issues, if you cannot bring yourself to talk about your problem you don't have to, we will still achieve the same positive results.

Having struggled with bullying in school and in the workplace, I developed anxiety around food and body image. I was referred to a hypnotherapist by my GP and it worked wonders for me. That was when I decided that I wanted to train as a hypnotherapist myself.

Verity Williams
Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Energy Healing

Hi, I am Verity, a qualified Five Elements Acupuncturist, Aromatherapist, Deep tissue Massage therapist Reiki Master and teacher with over 28 years experience in complementary therapy. Throughout our lives we face many obstacles, some big, some small. If you’re feeling stuck, struggling with work stresses, relationships, challenging or traumatic events, sadness, self-doubt, or pain from injury, loss, or illness — I’m here to help. Come as you are.

My Journey started when I found my passion in Aromatherapy and massage therapy specialising in the use of aromatic plant extracts, essential oils and body work to balance, harmonise and promote the healing process. My other passion is Five elements acupuncture this has had a profound impact on my own healing journey releasing emotional roots and physical pain. Good health is achieved by maintaining the body in a balanced state. Dis-ease is a sign of an imbalance of yin and yang with dis-ease related imbalances sometimes being due to excess or deficiency of yin and yang.  Typically, chronic illness is related to a yin dominance, whist acute illness is related to yang dominance. By emphasising a holistic approach to understanding normal function and disease processes I can focus on prevention and treatment of illness.

As a Five Element Acupuncturists I will search for energy blockages in the body’s meridians. The detection of such energetic blocks is fundamental to Five Element Acupuncture and once these blocks are cleared the body will restore balance and equilibrium. What I can help with… acute or chronic pain, Anxiety and depression, Tendinitis, Tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, Sciatica, Migraines, Menstrual pain, low energy levels, Pregnancy and fertility issues. Insomnia. Digestive disorders. Through my own Reiki/energy healing work it brought me back into alignment to my authentic self, integrating all bodies physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. We live in a vibrational universe and we are vibrational beings whose cells and organs all vibrate at a particular frequency. Physical and mental illness are all symptoms of our body, spirit and mind being out of tune. I am passionate about raising my client’s internal vibration so that their positive energy is reflected back to them.

Each treatment is uniquely tailored to the individual. Over the years, I have worked with many clients, specialising in treating the whole person, mind, body & spirit, using a combination of experience, intuition and modalities.
